The CEO series: Lee Rodne (LTR Pharma)

Welcome to the Men’s Health CEO series, where we engage with CEO’s who either lead a men’s health organisation or have facilitated men’s health initiatives within their institutions.

In this series, 5 questions are asked of executive leaders to gain insight into their respective organisations and their observations on men’s health today.

In this feature article, we speak with Lee Rodne, from LTR Pharma Ltd (ASX:LTP).

Q1: Could you please describe your organisation?

LTR Pharma is commercialising SPONTAN – the world’s first nasal spray that is designed to treat erectile dysfunction in under 10 minutes.  Its unique features have led to early prescriptions in Australia under the TGA’s early access schemes for high unmet needs.

Q2: Within your present CEO tenure, could you please share some organisational highlights?

During my tenure, LTR Pharma has reached several key milestones. We were recognised as ASX’s IPO of the Year in 2023, secured a global development agreement with Nasdaq listed Aptar Pharma – an industry leader in nasal spray technology – and partnered with ASX listed Mayne Pharma to scale our commercial manufacturing.

We also made history with the world’s first prescription of a nasal spray for erectile dysfunction, followed by the establishment of early distribution partnerships and the launch of an online men’s health portal in collaboration with Restorative Health Clinic, who are experts in treating erectile dysfunction.

Q3: Over the next 5-years, where do you see the growth opportunities for men’s health organisations?

I foresee substantial growth in telemedicine and online prescribing. Virtual healthcare will increase accessibility – especially for men who may be hesitant to visit clinics -opening up new opportunities for men’s health organisations

Q4: If hypothetically, the Government offered your organisation an unrestricted $5M grant tomorrow, and you had executive control over its allocation- what one project would you spend it all on?

I would invest the entire grant in a comprehensive men’s health education initiative. This project would break down stigmas, encourage early conversations about health issues, and promote early detection programs.

Q5: Lastly, do you have a favourite sports team, when & why did you start supporting them?

My favourite sports team is the Minnesota Vikings. I’ve been a supporter since I first discovered their pioneering spirit and rich legacy in the sport, qualities that continue to inspire me.

Thank you for sharing with Real Men’s Health
