Editorial Year in Review (2025)

It’s fair to say that 2025 has been a year of significant growth as men from all walks of life engage with the Real Men’s Health approach to health information delivery.

When I launched Real Men’s Health about 18-months ago, it was in response to men and women making two specific requests:

  1. Produce a single online site which delivers a broad range of physical, psychological, social and sexual health information backed by health professionals who are experts in their respective fields.
  2. Present health content in a format which is easy and enjoyable to read.

In a world of online misinformation, fake news and agenda driven content, I’m pleased to say that Real Men’s Health is beginning to deliver on what was requested.

A few stats on Real Men’s Health across 2025:

  • 30 online articles were published.
  • 8 articles were published on men’s genitourinary cancers, including prostate and testicular cancer.
  • 6 articles were written specifically on fatherhood, including a focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dads.
  • 5 men’s health support groups were profiled.
  • Real Men’s Health was included as a parental resource by the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE).

Clinical Expertise

The clinical expert reviewers who partnered with Real Men’s Health in 2025 came from a host of leading organisations including;

  • Western Health, Victoria
  • St. Vincent’s Hospital
  • Flinders University
  • Monash University
  • The University of Newcastle
  • The University of New South Wales
  • The Movember Foundation
  • The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre
  • The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

I want to thank all the reviewers who were so generous with their time in supplying their knowledge and lived experiences to Real Men’s Health in 2025.

I hope that you, your families and loved ones have a Happy Christmas and New Year, and we’ll see you again in 2026.

Kind regards,

Michael
